BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

Bridge constructions are among the most difficult and comprehensive of civil engineering disciplines. Due to the long service life, the construction has to be built and completed in the safest way. Heavy design loads will be transferred to bedrock by driving piles under the piers of bridge. Korfez Marine Construction accomplished the deepest rock socket (120 meters) and lifted the biggest piles (Ø2500 mm, L=86 meters) ever in Golden Horn Metro Crossing Bridge, Istanbul, Turkey. Also in Osmangazi Suspension Bridge (Izmit Bay Bridge) first underwater piling of Turkey completed successfully. 390 pieces of Ø2000 mm, 35 meters length piles were driven under tower foundations.
